A judgment in the Ian Bailey libel case has been deferred for a third time and will not be made until January 19th.
The libel case, where Mr Bailey is taking seven actions against eight newspapers over articles linking him to the murder of Ms Sophie Toscan du Plantier, was completed at Cork Circuit Court last week. There was no jury in the case.
Judge Moran originally indicated that his judgment could have been delivered before the weekend.
However, this date was put back after the 10-day case continued well beyond the five days allotted for it at Cork Circuit Cork.
It is estimated the legal costs - for both Mr Bailey and the newspapers - are in the region of €500,000.
Mr Bailey is suing the newspapers for €38,000 each.
In closing submissions last week, counsel for the newspapers, Mr Paul Gallagher SC, said the case should be dismissed as Mr Bailey had misled the court and told "lie after lie after lie".
Counsel for Mr Bailey, Mr James Duggan, said the newspaper articles defamed his client by effectively naming him as Ms Toscan du Plantier's murderer.
