Russia's Economy Ministry said today it had increased its forecasts for 2004 industrial production to 7.0 per cent from 6.3 per cent and gross domestic product growth to 6.7 per cent from 6.6 per cent.
Mr Andrei Klepach, head of the economic forecast department, told a news conference that the ministry had not changed its 10 per cent annual consumer price inflation target, although he noted that inflation risks remained high.
