Easyjet and Ryanair today announced plans for seven new routes this year.
Ryanair said it would launch two services in May from Dublin to Bydgoszcz and Gdansk in Poland.
The carrier said it would also increase frequencies on its routes from the Irish capital to Bratislava, Biarritz, Carcassonne, Kaunas, Krakow, Malaga, Murcia, Riga and Rome.
Easyjet said it plans to launch five routes this year on top of the 25 already due to be introduced in 2007.

The airline said it would begin flying between Gatwick and La Rochelle in France, Madrid and Palma in Majorca, Berlin and Lisbon, Berlin and Venice and Geneva to Cagliari in Sardinia on various dates in the spring and summer.
The extra services will increase the number of Easyjet routes to 285.
