Ryanair in pay deal with Dublin pilots

Ryanair has claimed it has reached agreement on a new four-year pay deal with its Dublin-based pilots.

Ryanair has claimed it has reached agreement on a new four-year pay deal with its Dublin-based pilots.

A Ryanair statement this afternoon said the agreement will "significantly improve" pay, rosters, terms and conditions for the company's Dublin pilots, bringing them into line with the pay and conditions previously negotiated by Ryanair pilots across the country.

The airline's Dublin-based pilots have been involved in a legal dispute with the airline over recognition and pay that has lasted over two years.

Under the deal, pilots will receive substantial pay increases of over €25,000 per annum for captains and over €15,000 per annum for first officers.

The agreement was reached after proposals put to the airline by the Dublin pilots were negotiated, voted on and approved "by a significant majority" of Ryanair's Dublin-based pilots.

Ryanair said it would implement the new agreement with effect from next month.
