Ryanair announced today it will offer eight new destinations out of Shannon airport.
Ryanair will now fly to Birmingham, Dublin, Fuerteventura (Canaries), Kaunas, Luton, Leeds, Riga and Tenerife from Shannon.
The announcement means the airline will now fly to 31 destinations from Shannon, including a twice daily "commuter route" to Dublin, Mr O'Leary said at Shannon this afternoon.
From November, Ryanair will also fly to Edinburgh daily and Manchester six times a week.

Ryanair has also announced it is purchasing 27 new Boeing aircraft which takes the number of Boeing planes it has on order to 308.
All of the new aircraft will be fitted with Boeing "blended winglets" which, it says, are designed to reduce fuel burn and CO2 emissions.
