Durban - South Africa's High Court yesterday halted the murder trial of the notorious hit-squad leader, Mr Dirk Coetzee, and two of his colleagues following their pardon on Monday by the country's truth commission.
A joking and smiling Coetzee told reporters that he finally felt free. "I am smiling all the way. I am extremely happy. It is the first time in eight years that I have felt truly free," he said. - (Reuter)
