Berlin - The German Chancellor, Mr Gerhard Schroder, yesterday visited the spot where three neo-Nazis beat a Mozambique-born man to death in Dessau last June. Mr Schroder laid a wreath of yellow flowers in front of the 4 ft stone marker that bears the photo of Mr Alberto Adriano.
His visit comes a day after a German court handed long jail sentences to the three men who killed Mr Adriano. Enrico Hilprecht (24), together with Frank Mitbauer and Christian Richter, both 16, were convicted on Wednesday of beating Mr Adriano, a 39-year-old father of three children to death.
