Garda air support and dog units have searched a 10-mile area of north Tipperary for a young man missing since last Sunday. Mr John McKenna (20), an apprentice electrician, of Loughane, Cloughjordan, was last seen by a neighbour on Tuesday but he has not contacted home since the weekend.
He was involved in a minor traffic accident on Sunday, but gardai stressed they are not searching for him in relation to it. Information can be given in Nenagh at 067 31333 or Borrisokane at 067 27101.
