An intensive search has been organised for today in Carlow town for a missing Dublin student, Mr Neil Fitzgerald, (19). Mr Fitzgerald, a native of Rathfarnham, Co Dublin, and a second-year computer student at Carlow RTC, went missing following a Hallowe'en ball on Thursday, October 30th.
He withdrew £10 from an automatic teller machine at the Potato Market branch of the Bank of Ireland at about 1.30 a.m. on Friday, October 31th, and gardai have information of a sighting of the student at about 2 a.m. that day.
Today's search will involve Civil Defence, Garda sub aqua divers, mountain rescue personnel and civilians.
