The Hague - The wife of former Yugoslav president Mr Slobodan Milosevic, Ms Mira Markovic, went to visit her husband again on the second day of her three-day stay in the Netherlands, her lawyer said on yesterday.
"She went to the prison around 9.30 a.m. She'll probably leave sometime in the afternoon," said Mr Dragoslav Ognjanovic, a lawyer accompanying Ms Markovic.
Mr Milosevic is being held at the detention centre of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for his role in the 1998-99 Serbian crackdown on ethnic Albanians in Kosovo.
On Thursday, his wife arrived in the Netherlands on a special three-day visa under strict conditions. Mr Milosevic's immediate family is banned from travelling to EU countries under a sanctions regime targeting allies of the former president.
