Beijing - A Chinese woman who refused to give up her involvement in the banned Falungong sect has been beaten to death while in police custody, according to a report posted on the group's Internet Website.
Ms Zhao Jinhua (42) died on October 7th at a police station in the town of Zhangxing in the north-eastern Chinese province of Shandong.
A police spokesman in Zhangxing confirmed Ms Zhao's death but declined to comment on the cause, which he said was under investigation.
