Three senior loyalists have been arrested in Derry this afternoon, as police launched a new crackdown on paramilitary activity in the North.
The three were taken into custody following raids on their homes, all in the Coleraine area.
They are currently being questioned at a police detention centre in Lisburn, county Antrim.
A spokesman for the PSNI indicated that the men were being held in connection to loyalist terror activities.
