San Diego - A judge yesterday postponed the sentencing of a British nanny, Manjit Basuta, after she was convicted over the death of a baby in her care. The 44-year-old woman was found guilty of fatal child abuse by shaking 13-month-old Oliver Smith to death in California in June.
Mr John Cooper, of the British to free Basuta, said he had been told by lawyers in the US that the judge had postponed the sentencing until the autumn.
