The Hague - A Bosnian Serb army officer yesterday pleaded innocent to charges of murder and persecution of Muslims at the former UN enclave of Srebrenica in the bloody summer of 1995.
Lieut-Col Dragan Jokic, who served near Srebrenica during Bosnia's 31/2 year war, was charged on four counts of crimes against humanity and violations of the laws and customs of war the genocide of Muslim men and boys in the UN declared "safe area" of Srebrenica.
