Rebels threw a grenade at a government office in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul today, injuring seven people.
Police said the hand grenade seriously wounded one civilian and also injured two policemen, one security guard and three government employees at the municipal government office in central Mosul.
A US convoy was parked nearby, and US soldiers were inside the offices, they said.
Rebels fighting the US occupation regularly attack US soldiers and have often targeted Iraqi government officials they see as cooperating with the occupiers.
