The Dublin Fire Brigade had to use cutting equipment to release three people following a head-on collision between two cars outside a service station at Kinsealy, Co Dublin, early this morning. One of the cars was a hackney. Three ambulances and a fire engine were despatched to the scene of the accident.
Gardai said a third car was also involved in the pile-up. It is understood it collided with the back of one of the vehicles involved in the head-on impact.
Six adults and a child were involved in the incident. The adults were removed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment and the child to Temple Street children's hospital. Two adults were said to be seriously injured.
Gardai said the occupants of the third car were not thought to be seriously injured.
