Police investigating the murder of teenager Mary-Ann Leneghan have charged a seventh man in connection with the killing.
Joshua Morally (22), Balham, south London, was charged yesterday with kidnapping and murdering the 16-year-old and attempting to murder her 18-year-old friend, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Mr Morally is due to appear before Reading magistrates later today alongside Michael Johnson (18) Southfields, London, and Myron Hiliaire ( 18), Balham, who were charged on Wednesday night. Mary-Ann's father, Bertie, is from Co Mayo.
Mr Johnson is facing charges of kidnap, murder and attempted murder while Mr Hiliaire is accused of possessing a prohibited weapon.
Earlier yesterday, four other men appeared before a judge at Reading Crown Court by video link in connection with the attack on the night of May 6th. They were all remanded in custody to appear at the same court on August 11th.
Mary-Ann and her friend were allegedly abducted by a gang of up to six men in Reading, Berkshire, earlier this month.
After a terrifying and violent ordeal, including sexual assault, the pair were taken to a park in the town where Mary-Ann was stabbed to death. Despite being shot in the head her friend survived and called for help.
The four men before Reading Crown Court this morning were Llewellyn Adams (23), Old Hospital Close, Balham; Adrian Thomas (19), Queenstown Road, Battersea; Indrit Krasniqi (18), Oxford Road North, Chiswick, west London, and Jamaile Morally (21), Brook Close, Balham.
