The sentence hearing of a former soldier who sexually abused two daughters and a male relative in Dublin during the 1960s and 1970s has been rescheduled for July 23rd.
Mr Justice Budd was informed in the Central Criminal Court yesterday that a probation report would be available on that date.
At an earlier hearing, Mr Justice Budd requested the report and said he wished to have information on "the full panoply of weapons" available to the court by way of sentence.
The defendant pleaded guilty in April to nine indecent assault charges which spanned 11 years. He had originally faced an indictment containing a total of 71 charges. The victims are now in their 30s.
He admitted three charges of indecently assaulting his male relative on unknown dates from November 1971 to December 1977 when the victim was aged about eight to 14.
He has also admitted indecently assaulting one of his daughters on three occasions on unknown dates between 1973, when she was seven, and 1978, and a further three charges of indecently assaulting his second daughter on unknown dates from January 1967 to March 1971, when she was aged seven to 11.
