Sex assault charges against a former prominent GAA official were adjourned until November at a District Court sitting yesterday. The accused, now an elderly man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faced 75 charges of indecently assaulting 11 young girls and boys between 1958 and 1978.
The accused was not in court but was legally represented. The defence sought the adjournment while an application for a judicial review is made to the High Court.
