Munster coach Alan Gaffney has included Ireland hooker Frankie Sheahan in his 26-man squad for Friday's Celtic League curtain raiser against Leinster at Donnybrook.

Sheahan had his two-year doping ban reduced to three months on appeal yesterday and, as that suspension has already elapsed, the 26-year-old is available for selection this weekend.

Sheahan still harbours ambitions of forcing his way into Eddie O'Sullivan's 30-strong World Cup squad - due to be announced on Sunday morning - and the Canadian-born player is "hungry" for action on Friday.

A number of other World Cup hopefuls will be in action in Dublin 4 with those players not involved in Ireland's final warm-up match against Scotland in Edinburgh likely to get a run.
