Wales could put back their team announcement for Saturday's Six Nations clash with England in Cardiff as they assess the fall-out from their opening weekend defeat in Italy.

Hansen is scheduled to name the team on Wednesday afternoon - and changes are likely - but that could now be put back 24 hours.

Wing Mark Jones and lock Steve Williams are the two main fitness concerns, although Coach Steve Hansen's biggest job this week will be to restore battered pride.

Northampton forward Williams is suffering from a sore back, while Llanelli wing Jones will take a couple of days off after being on the receiving end of a collision in Rome.

Wales know that they will need to make a massive improvement to compete with England, and Jones admitted that the performance level has to rise.

"There was a lack of intensity when we had the ball, and we know as players that the performance wasn't acceptable, whether we had won or lost," he added.

"We aren't stupid. It wasn't a top performance, and we are very conscious of that fact".
