It was confirmed this morning that Musgrave Group has reached an agreement with receivers to purchase supermarket chain Superquinn.
The move came after receivers were appointed the chain which has debts of about €400 million.
Éanna Ó Caollaí spoke with shoppers at the recently opened Superquinn outlet in the Heuston Quarter near Heuston Station.
Some were unaware of the acquisition by Musgrave group of the indebted retail chain while others were concerned about job losses.
