Sydney - Less than two years after a glitzy launch at the Fox Studios theme park, the Titanic has gone down again. The Sydney venue had been expected to draw 1.5 million visitors a year, with the main attraction based on the Hollywood hit the Titanic in which visitors became film extras in a recreation of the film's last moments.
But hefty initial ticket prices, poor public support, and a downturn in tourism were yesterday blamed for Fox's decision to shut down the $225 million theme park that opened in November 1999.
