Siptu members who staff security facilities at Dublin airport are to vote on proposals to allow online check-ins over the next few days.
Staff at the airport have been refusing to co-operate with the Ryanair system that was meant to come into operation last week.
Siptu said it was giving the online check-in proposals "strong consideration".
Voting begins today and concludes on Tuesday, April 4th.
