A 200-strong crowd pelted police with bottles as trouble flared in north Belfast overnight.

PSNI officers who used CS spray to quell the disturbances made six arrests.

They were called to Baltic Avenue at about 12.45 a.m. to deal with two rival groups of revellers who were fighting, a police spokesman said.

At first about 40 people were involved, but while officers tried to break up the clashes numbers swelled.
