Six people have died on Irish roads over the last 24 hours - including four killed in a single crash in Co Fermanagh.
Last night the PSNI released on bail the 19-year-old male driver of the car involved in the collision at Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, early yesterday morning.
The crash killed two teenage girls and two men in their 20s. A second 19-year-old male was also a passenger in the car at the time.
The four who died have been named as Anita Swift (16), Magheravelly Road, Newtownbutler; Danica O'Rourke (17), the Point, Attybaron, Lisnaskea; Peter Leonard (21), Carrickmacusker, Lisnaskea; and Jonathan McDonald (21), Aghagay Park, Newtownbutler.
Earlier yesterday a male pedestrian (26) died when he was struck by a car at Moat, Balla, Co Mayo, at 1.40am, and a male motorcyclist died in Castlewellan, Co Down, after his motorbike collided with a car at 4.30pm yesterday.
The PSNI later named the motorcyclist as Kieran Dynes of Bailiffs Lane, Terrytrasna, in Lurgan.
To date 203 people have died on roads in the Republic since the beginning of this year. In Northern Ireland 66 people have died compared to 63 for the same period last year.
