Irish-based e-learning company SmartForce has won a contract with international software company Macromedia to develop 100 hours of e-learning content.
Available in March 2002, the e-learning content will be delivered via a co-branded, MySmartForce platform for Macromedia customers and will be available to current SmartForce customers in multiple languages.
Introducing clients to the fundamental concepts and features of the Macromedia product family, the learning paths will cover the skills necessary for the planning and design of websites, web graphics, Macromedia Flash animation, and ActionScript applications.
Specifically, the Macromedia Flash learning paths will cover the creation of animations and the development of applications using ActionScript.
It will also educate users on all phases of building websites, including HTML content, CSS, page layout, and JavaScript behaviours.
SmartForce will co-develop the learning paths with Macromedia using e3, the underlying application architecture that integrates and supports SmartForce's content, technology tools and services.
"SmartForce has developed a high-quality platform for delivering dynamic, interactive learning content," said Ms Carolyn Lightner, vice-president, worldwide educational services, Macromedia.
"In today's economy, e-Learning provides one of the most cost-effective ways to train employees to use software and ensure that they are as productive as possible".
