A US software solutions company is to create up to 150 jobs with the opening of an international shared services, sales and marketing centre in Dublin.
Bentley Systems, which provides software for infrastructure projects such as bridges, roads and power stations, announced the decision to open the centre in Harcourt Street this morning. The investment was facilitated by the Government through IDA Ireland.
Tánaiste Mary Coughlan described the announcement as a “testament to the strength” of the information and communications technology sector in the country.
Bentley’s chief financial officer, David Hollister, said the decision to locate the offices in Dublin was based “on Ireland’s highly talented pool of multilingual professionals encompassing all of the key skill sets that we require for our international operations”.
“The culture of innovation that exists in Ireland assured us that we would benefit greatly by locating offices here,” he added.
Bentley said it is seeking to recruit multilingual finance and administrative personnel, sales and marketing professionals, technical support engineers, and product-release engineers with software industry experience.
