Dublin-based software company Openet said today it plans to invest €3.65 million in research and development, creating 35 new jobs in the next year.
The investment, which is supported by Enterprise Ireland, will help create high-value jobs in roles such as program managers, engineers and senior software engineers.
Openet provides event processing and transaction management solutions to clients worldwide.
Tánaiste Mary Coughlan welcomed the investment. “Ireland’s economic future is dependent upon sophisticated companies such as Openet achieving overseas success to secure jobs and growth at home,” she said.
“Openet’s international footprint is growing fast with operations in the US, Kuala Lumpur, Sao Paulo, the UK and Australia. This internationalisation is underpinned by the R&D being carried out in its Irish base which is now expanding with recruitment for 35 high-value positions.”
Openet chief executive Niall Norton said expansion was key to the company’s growth strategy.
