European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said today he wanted to pursue contacts with Iran on its disputed nuclear programme.
"We want to maintain dialogue, and Iran knows what we want to do," he said as he arrived for a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.
Mr Solano's comments came after meeting Iran's top nuclear negotiator yesterday in Munich. He said the meeting with Ali Larijani had been "good and constructive".
