A militant group linked to Iraqi militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi have seized a Somali driver and are threatening to behead him in 48 hours.

The group, considered a close ally or part of the al-Qaeda network, said the man will be executed if the Kuwaiti firm he works for maintains operations in Iraq.

Arabic TV channel Al Jazeera today showed a video and identity card of the driver with three gunmen. The station said it also received a statement from the al Tawhid and Jihad group vowing to kill the captive if their demands were not met.
