London - A row was raging around Prince William last night as university leaders and his uncle Prince Edward's TV company exchanged claim and counter-claim. The prince, who this week started a degree course at St Andrews University in Scotland, was upset when a television camera crew was spotted filming - apparently in breach of a media agreement to allow him his privacy.

And his father, the Prince of Wales, was said to be "incandescent" with rage when the film crew turned out to work for Ardent Productions, owned by his brother, the Earl of Wessex.
