Geneva - Switzerland's highest court ruled yesterday that Geneva's Opera company did not owe damages to a Russian soprano whom it dismissed when she became pregnant after signing her contract. Yelena Prokina was to have performed in the rustic tragedy Pagliacci, in a role which involved her being thrown to the ground, strangled and stabbed in the stomach, while eight months pregnant.
