As the counting of votes in the Lisbon Treaty referendum gets underway tomorrow morning, so will a number of sporting and music events.
Brian O’Driscoll will make his first appearance of the season for Leinster for the sell-out Magners League showdown against provincial rivals and defending champions Munster at the RDS tomorrow. Kick off is 6.30pm.
The Ballinasloe October Fair, one of the oldest horse fairs in Ireland, also kicks off tomorrow and runs until Sunday 11th. Festival favourites like the Domac Tug of War, Queen of the Fair, and Singing Pubs will liven up the streets, with up to 85,000 people are expected to attend over the eight days of the event
In Dublin, the Music Show is taking place in the RDS from 10am tomorrow and 11am on Sunday. Live performances from Damien Dempsey, The Blizzards and the Republic of Loose, a drumming masterclass with Conor Guilfoyle and a public interview with Glen Hansard are among the events taking place at the music exhibition.
Elsewhere, in Cork, the 30th annual Beamish Folk Festival, which began yesterday continues with Micheál Ó’Sύilleaháin, Frankie Gavin, and De Dannan among the highlights. More than 5,000 of the world’s best folk musicians and dancers will feature in the event which runs until Sunday.
Staying in Munster, up to 4,000 participants are expected in the Limerick Women's Mini Marathon 7km road race which is taking place at the University of Limerick on Sunday.
Met Éireann is forecasting strong winds tomorrow with some sunny spells and scattered blustery showers. Sunday is expected to be largely dry with bright or sunny spells and highest temperatures will range 13C to 15C.
