The State has been granted more time to complete the book of evidence in the case of a schoolboy charged with murder following the stabbing of a Leaving Cert student in May.

Seán Nolan (18), Griffith Court, Fairview, Dublin, died following a row on May 26th last.

A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be identified because he is a juvenile, has been charged at Dublin Children's Court with the murder of Mr Nolan at Waterloo Road, Dublin. The murder charge is to proceed on indictment in the Central Criminal Court.

The south Dublin teenager remained silent during proceedings yesterday where Judge Ann Ryan granted the State a further four weeks to allow for the book of evidence to be prepared.
