Carlton Palmer has been sacked as Stockport County manager following the club's poor start to the Nationwide Division Two campaign.
Palmer has steered the club to just one win in eight games which has seen the side placed fourth from bottom.
The former England international has been in charge at Edgeley Park for nearly two years but has won just 25 of his 92 matches at the helm, losing 50 of them.
Director of football John Hollins has been put in charge for the home clash with Blackpool tomorrow.
