Oklahoma City - As Oklahomans spent a third day yesterday shovelling through the wreckage left by this week's string of killer tornadoes, the same front spawned fresh storms in Tennessee, taking four more lives.

With a confirmed death toll of 48 across Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and now eastward into Tennessee, the storms continued to wreak havoc.

In Tennessee, wind storms that hit late on Wednesday and continued into yesterday killed three people in Perry County and one in Madison County, according to Mr Curt Pickering of the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.
