The Central Criminal Court will sit for the first time in Cork for the trial of the 20-year-old student who is accused of murdering Midleton schoolboy Robert Holohan (11).

Yesterday, a date was fixed for the trial later this year of Wayne O'Donoghue (right), from Ballyedmond, Midleton, who has been charged with the murder of Robert Holohan at Ballyedmond on January 4th, 2005.

At the Central Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday Mr Justice Paul Carney set October 18th for the start of the trial in Cork. This follows the moving of other murder trials out of Dublin to Limerick last year.

Defence barrister Patrick MacEntee SC told the court that neither the prosecution nor the defence lawyers had seen any papers in relation to the case.
