Jakarta - Indonesian police yesterday questioned Mr Tommy Suharto, son of the former dictator, as a suspect in murder and bombing cases and firmly denied suggestions that his arrest after a year-long hunt was stage-managed.
Mr Suharto was arrested on Wednesday in a house in a south Jakarta suburb. His lawyer, Ms Elza Syarif, said he had called her just one hour before to say he wanted to surrender.
"He wanted to make peace with himself," she added.
