An inquest jury at the District Court in Swords, Co Dublin, recorded a verdict of suicide in the case of a Dublin businessman whose body was found last June in woodland at the rear of the Sutton Castle Hotel at Sutton, Co Dublin.

The man, in his 40s, married and from Raheny, had been reported missing on June 1st. His body was found on June 8th. Beside him were four bottles of different kinds of spirits, partially consumed, and some empty tablet boxes.

The body was taken to the James Connolly Memorial Hospital at Blanchardstown where a post-mortem was carried out.

The court heard from Garda witnesses that a search at the man's home by members of his family had revealed notes and diaries in which he had detailed personal difficulties which, he indicated, he could no longer face.
