A Dublin man has been given leave in the High Court to challenge the legality of summonses issued by the Minister for Agriculture relating to the illegal animal growth promoter clenbuterol, known as angel dust. Mr Dennis Ward, of Herbert Lane, Ballsbridge, contends that the summonses, dating back to 1994, are ineffective and lapsed as a result of having been improperly re-entered for hearing before the Dublin District Court today.
