Bachelor's Walk: Eightpart comedy drama featuring "three Irish thirtysomethings . . . clinging to freedom in their crumbling urban bachelor pad".

The Jason Byrne Show: Comedians Jason Byrne and P.J. Gallagher bring "iconoclastic mischief" to television.

The Cassidys: Billed as Network 2's first ever sitcom, the six-part series has comedian Ed Byrne as one of three siblings living in a suburban Dublin home.

A Little History of Irish Food: Eight-part series on eating patterns down the ages, beginning on September 9th.

Saddle Soap: Observational documentary series set among Co Kildare's racing community.

Among the one-off documentaries featured are Portrait of the Irish Artist, in which Sean O Mordha examines the contentious relationship between artists and "official Ireland"; and The Battle of Kinsale, an exploration of the conflict between Spanish and Irish forces and the English.

New lifestyle programmes include The Health Show and Ten of the Best, a new cookery series in which 10 of the country's top chefs each present four programmes.

Yumee: A new cookery programme for children.

New overseas acquisitions include Boston Public, a series set in an American high school; the cookery show Nigella Bites, with food writer Nigella Lawson; and The Fugitive, a modern remake based on the 1960s series.

Movies lined up for autumn include Armageddon, Shakespeare in Love, and Saving Private Ryan.

Among the regular features are The Late Late Show, starting on September 7th, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and the soap opera Fair City, now running four nights a week.
