Hazy sunshine and warm temperatures are predicted by Met Éireann, and temperatures are expected to reach between 17 and 20 degrees tomorrow and could rise to 22 degrees on Sunday inland, although it may be somewhat cooler in coastal areas.

On the sporting front, the All-Ireland under 19 rugby World Cup continues this evening at 7.30pm at Ravenhill in Belfast, where Ireland face a crucial game against South Africa. A full house is expected so anticipate delays in the area.

There will also be delays and traffic restrictions around Croke Park on Sunday as the Alliance National Football League semi-finals kick off at 2pm.

The National League hurling semi-finals take place in Semple Stadium, Thurles, on Sunday with Kilkenny versus Wexford followed by Cork versus Waterford from 2.30pm.

For those whose preference runs to singers getting up from tall stools, Westlife will be stopping traffic as well as hearts in Belfast each evening until next Tuesday at the Odyssey Arena.

Travelwise, all Stenaline sailings are running as scheduled, although Irish Ferries passengers should note that the 8.45am sailing from Dublin to Holyhead now departs 15 minutes earlier at 8.30am.

With road works and development works in the Dublin Port area, however, Irish Ferries recommends that customers allow plenty of time to get to the port.

For those travelling on the much maligned N7 near the Red Cow Roundabout, a new road layout is in place on the outbound lane to the west of the roundabout from this morning. Work to accommodate Luas car parking is part of the M50 upgrade and will continue till September.

There will be no rail service on the Ballina to Westport and Athlone line due to a resignalling work on the line. An alternative bus service will be provided for commuters between stations. Elsewhere services are running as scheduled.
