Paris - Portuguese police yesterday detained a suspected French serial killer wanted in connection with the murders of three women, two of them on night trains, French police sources said.
France launched a massive manhunt for Mr Sid Ahmed Rezala (20) in December after the murder of British student Isabel Peake (20), who was thrown from a train, and the subsequent killings of a 36-year-old French mother and a one-time girlfriend. Police eavesdropping on Mr Rezala's calls from a telephone box to a former girlfriend in France tracked him down to Lisbon where he was hiding.
