Nicosia - Two Israelis held on suspicion of spying in Cyprus were apparently not working for the government of Israel, Cypriot security sources said yesterday. "During the course of our inquiries so far against the two men we have found nothing suggesting that their actions are connected with the Israeli government," a source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said. The men, identified as Mr Udi Hargov (37), and Mr Igal Damary (49), were arrested by police on Saturday and remanded in custody for eight days pending police inquiries. The incident came just days after an official visit to the island by the Israeli President, Mr Ezer Weizman.
