Members of D·n Laoghaire Business Association will attend a meeting with local garda∅ today to discuss traffic movement and security over Christmas.
The meeting has been called by the cathaoirleach of D·n Laoghaire-Rathdown Council, Ms Betty Coffey, after local business people cleared roads used by shoppers. She has supported local demands that the roads be open to traffic to facilitate Christmas shopping.
The association's secretary, Mr Breasal ╙ Caolla∅, said the clean-up had followed county council work on roads in the area. He said that Patrick Street, Mulgrave Street and Convent Road were now open to traffic.
