THE Independent TDs' group in Leinster House, the so-called Technicals, picked their representatives to the British-Irish interparliamentary body this week. Senator Mary Henry and Sinn Fein's Caoimhghin O Caolain are the chosen ones. Proinsias De Rossa, who avoids O Caolain like the plague, is an associate member so there may be conflicts ahead. The first meeting of the body since the two general elections takes place in London next weekend. Former cochairman Peter Temple Morris left the Tories this week, so he too is a Technical.
