An 18-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in north London on New Year's Day. His death came days after Nassirudeen Osawe (16), was killed in a knife attack at a bus stop in Islington.

Osawe's death took the toll of teenagers murdered in London last year to 27, fuelling concern about the level of violence among young people in inner cities.
