A 17-year-old male has been stabbed in an apparent sectarian attack in north Belfast.
He was approached alighting from a bus by four men on Broughan Street this afternoon. The men asked him his religion before punching him.
When the teenager tried to escape he fell and was stabbed and beaten. It is understood he has stab wounds to the head.
The four men ran off in the direction of the loyalist Tiger's Bay area.

In a separate incident, a woman is recovering after being assaulted in a hijacking incident.
Three youths attacked her car at the junction of North Queen Street and Duncairn Gardens close to 7 a.m. After driving the car a short distance, they made off on foot towards Tiger's Bay. The car was recovered by police soon after.
