Ankara - Turkey's Red Crescent said yesterday it was having problems finding enough winter-proof tents to house hundreds of thousands of earthquake homeless as the harsh winter sets in.
At least 17,000 were killed in August's massive quake and some 500,000 people were rendered homeless in the north-west of the country. Then, as authorities were struggling to cope with that disaster, another quake struck two weeks ago, killing at least 749 and injuring some 5,000 people in an area to the east of the August quake.
